Ayikodans | The Strength, Pride, and Beauty of Haiti

With a theatrical prowess that is unmistakable, Ayikodans returns to Miami to share the history, culture, pride, and strength of Haiti.

After the devastation of the 2010 Earthquake in Haiti, the Arsht Center’s President/CEO, John Richard and prominent community leaders joined forces to save the dance troupe. Ayikodans has since thrilled sold-out audiences through movements characterized as “a spiraling line of beauty that constantly invigorates the dance, giving it pulse and texture.”

Artistic Director and Choreographer Jeanguy Saintus, continues to foster and inspire the artistic talent of his beloved Haiti. “Despite all the sufferings, misunderstandings and the confusion linked to this country I do think that I need to give back to the community part of what has been given to me. Which is exactly
what I intend to do”!
